3D Printing

Mr Dempsey has been busy 3D printing various accessories for the department.

Mrs Wilson came up with the great idea of 3D printing nozzles for the PVA glue bottles since the originals had seen better days. Mr Dempsey modelled the part on Autodesk Inventor which fit like a glove. Hopefully, these nozzles last for years to come. Each nozzle took about 2 hours to print.

We have also printed caps for the end of the G Clamps that were missing – although this did take some trial and error to get right. A massive thank you to S6 student Gregor MacMillan who kindly modelled the part using Autodesk Inventor. Each end cap took around 1Hour 30 minutes to print.
